If you want to generate your own leads, the best method is to generate the leads through PPC or search engine optimization. Search engine optimization is a marketing method to make your site more visible by optimizing your site for specific keywords and have the site listing appear in the natural search results. PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click. The two major players in this arena are Overture and Google. You pay everytime someone clicks on your ad. Each click can go up to almost 3 dollars for some of the more popular keywords.
Should You Generate Your Own Leads
It basically comes down to how much time and resources you have around you. Most mortgage brokers will learn that hiring a search engine optimization expert might not give them enough traffic and leads that they are interested in. For those brokers, buying mortgage leads from lead companies who generate them is the best way to go. I personally would rather spend time on the phone talking to consumers and closing deals rather than trying to manage a SEO project.
